About Two Birds:

We are a family business (as you can see by all our exact same last names). If there is one thing we are certain of, it’s this: An organic, environmentally and equity conscious farm in Guatemala is not sustainable if it remains dependent on the C-Market.

Our mission is to provide economic stability to coffee farms that provide economic and environmental stability to its employees and communities.

This involves minimizing the farms’ ecological footprint, promoting organic practices, paying employees a livable and dignified wage, and providing a quality cup of coffee. We seek to work with farms in Guatemala and roasters in the US that truly value the environment, their employees, and their communities in a manner that is sustainable for all our stakeholders. We hope you let us be part of your coffee journey!

Everyone is welcomed! Our KWCC Members and Coffee Roasters within the Community.

Our goal is to join our coffee orders on one pallet. If you are a roaster in the community, pick up from our location is an option!

This is a free event to attend, cup amazing coffees, meet the producers, and meet others who share your passion of coffee.

Join us on Friday, July 19th at 11:00am for a unique coffee cupping event with JA Coffee, exclusive for coffee roasters. This session will feature a selection of coffees sourced from Jamaica, Latin America, and East Africa. Dive into the rich flavors and unique profiles of each region as you connect with fellow roasters and coffee lovers.

JA Coffee was founded in 2018 as it was difficult to find authentic Jamaica Blue Mountain® Coffee in North America. We took on the challenge of representing two of the best estates in Jamaica. With a solid background in sales and digital marketing, and a passion for our cultural background, we began a journey in the coffee industry that allowed us to learn, appreciate, and understand the nuances behind a great cup of coffee and the supply chain's intricacies that support it.

Today, and through great encounters, we now offer delicious award-winning, exotic, and rare coffees from around the world.

Introduction to Roasting

Introduction to Roasting - 4hr Group Class
$400.00

Our mission is to eliminate the barriers to entry into coffee roasting and give you all the support needed to roast your own coffee. Not everyone who starts roasting knows how to do it from day one, but our team will have you up and roasting in no time.

Every member will be required to attend an Introduction to Roasting class. This class is split into 3 sections; green coffee and roasting theory, a cupping in our coffee lab, roasting practice with an orientation through the packing station.

Once our members complete this class, they will have a basic understanding of roasting and our equipment. Members will then have access to the schedule and can start booking their sessions.

Class includes:

Green Coffee Theory followed by a Coffee Cupping

Roasting Theory & Safety

Roasting Practice

  • Roast 3 x 6kg batches

  • Take home some of your roasted coffee

Orientation of the packaging station and coffee lab
